Six Month Smiles
Six Month Smiles® is a type of bracket and wire orthodontic treatment for straightening the front upper and lower teeth in approximately six months, although treatment times vary depending on individual misalignment problems. This type of treatment is sometimes referred to as "short-term orthodontics."
Growth Modification Treatment
Growth modification is utilized in the first phase of a two-stage interceptive orthodontic treatment for children with misaligned teeth and bites. Treatment for growth modification is used when bones are still in the growing process and is most effective during a child’s growth spurts.
Interceptive Orthodontics identifies children’s teeth that are coming in crooked or crowded, usually by the age of 7. This is the best time to begin to correct problems such as dental crowding, too much space between teeth, protruding teeth and extra or missing teeth and sometimes jaw growth problems. By creating the necessary room for teeth early on, you can significantly reduce or even completely avoid the time and cost necessary for orthodontics later in life.
Interceptive Ortho Other
Correcting orthodontic issues using interceptive orthodontics while your children are young (3 to 13 years old) has been proven to stop the onset of more complex orthodontic problems later on. Through interceptive orthodontics, we’re able to help guide the proper development of teeth. By creating the necessary room for teeth early on, you can significantly reduce or even completely avoid the time and cost necessary for orthodontics later in life.
Ortho-Tain® is a maker of orthodontic appliances and offers doctors and patients the ability to straighten teeth without braces. Ortho-Tain® provides a preventative solution for straightening the teeth of patients as young as five years old and removing the need for fixed treatment later in life.
Two-Phase Orthodontic Treatment
Two-phase orthodontic treatment refers to two separate times when a child receives orthodontic care. The first phase is done while the child still has many or most of their primary or “baby” teeth. The second takes place when the child has most or all of their permanent teeth.
